Youth

How can the young keep their way clean? By guarding it according to God’s Word.

Psalm 119.9

At Good Hope, nothing we do matters more than the Christian upbringing of the children God has given us.

It is important first of all that we as adults set the example ourselves—by weekly worship and daily Bible study, with gentle speech and generous actions, and with lives that are intentionally being molded by Jesus Christ.

Bible studies are held each and every Sunday morning. The youth of the congregation meet in their own Youth Room, in our newly remodeled basement. Classes are lighthearted, but seek to combine a growing knowledge of the Bible with the issues students regularly face at school and in the wider world.

We can’t wait to see you at our Youth Group events! Bring a friend and join us as we create lasting memories, grow in faith, and have a blast together. These activities aim to create a supportive and engaging environment where young people can grow in their faith and connect with others.

We also have “Pizza and Jesus” gatherings, where young people in grades 7-12 can enjoy pizza, read the Bible, play games, and have open conversations about faith.

“Teen Breakfast” is a popular event offering free breakfast and a brief Bible study for students in grades 7-12 on Thursday mornings during the school year.

We provide a “Confirmation” course focusing on the Bible and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, traditionally offered to young people during their junior high years.

Finally, we organize “5th Quarter” events for Arlington students in grades 5-8, offering a supervised party with games and refreshments after select home football games, along with a short Bible devotion.

For more information about these events or any other questions, feel free to contact us.
