Shining Stars Christian Preschool and Daycare

For over 40 years, Good Hope has been the proud home of the Shining Stars Christian Preschool and Daycare. We are dedicated to providing a loving, faith-based environment where children develop the academic and social skills needed for a bright future.

DAYCARE: open Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 6 pm. There are days when it is closed, and these generally are in line with the schedule of the Arlington public school. Children must be at least three years of age and potty trained. Children can be enrolled at any time.

PRESCHOOL: Enrollment in the preschool is more limited, and generally opens to the public sometime in the Spring.

For more information about either program, call the church office at 419.365.5582 and ask for the Shining Stars director.

About Us

Good Hope Child Development Center provides children aged 3-5 with learning experiences which aim to help them develop needed academic and social skills in an environment of sincere Christian love. Owned and operated by Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Christian Nature

A learning and worshiping community that builds up the body of Christ. An environment in which faith is verbalized, conduct is examined under law and Gospel, and prayer and praise are integrated into daily living.

Outreach

Enabling outreach to all unchurched people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Students without church affiliation are themselves the focus of a Christian witness as are their families and friends.

Vision

To build a school for Christ and the manifestation of His glory by expanding the number of children that we can serve and expanding the learning program that the children receive at school.

Purpose

Open to families in the surrounding community who desire a Christian based preschool program. We follow continuous fellowship and reflect the vital link with our Creator using activities, stories, songs, and prayer.

Philosophy

Assisting parents in fulfilling their responsibility to train their children. Our course of study helps with communication, reading/math readiness, reasoning, problem solving and cooperation.

  • Age: 3yr old - sixth grade.
  • Potty Training: All children must be potty trained to attend programs.
  • Class Size: Limited during the school year to a maximum of 2-24 or 2-36.
  • Government Assistance: We do not accept government assistance.
  • Discrimination: We do not discriminate in the enrollment of children upon the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, or physical/mental limitations, in compliance with state law.

Fees are given to parents each year and are subject to change. Please call administration for current rates.
